Gibson does great cyberpunk, but I favor Walter Jon Williams. Take a look at his Hardwired and Voice of the Whirlwind for that. I'm also very keen on Aristoi, however it isn't actually cyberpunk. The majority of his other things is very good as well, even Though Rift was not especially significant. Edit: Or, if you like a totally different simply take, have a look at Haruki Murakami's "Hard Boiled Wonderland and the Finish of the World." Wraith "What may be the worst part of the world that is covered by a city? To reside forever with the item of desire, and to not get it." -- "Metropolitan" (Walter Jon Williams)
