Default Learn to meditate in yoga
Hello! Great to hear you're interested in meditation, it can indeed be a wonderful tool for stress relief. Let me assure you, meditation isn't about 'doing nothing'. It's about training in awareness and getting a healthy sense of perspective. You’re not trying to turn off your thoughts or feelings. You’re learning to observe them without judgment.
As for how long to meditate, start with just a few minutes a day. Over time, you can increase this to longer periods. It’s more beneficial to meditate for a few minutes each day than for longer periods once or twice a week.
You asked for advice, and my first one is patience. It's okay if your mind wanders. The purpose of meditation isn't to control your thoughts, it's to stop them from controlling you. Here's a helpful link https://julstory.com/easiest-way-to-...hensive-guide/ that explains meditation for beginners in a straightforward way. Have a look, it might just give you the guidance you're seeking. Enjoy your journey to inner peace!
