...you buy something online and then you're gone when its delivered so you get a delivery note from the parcel carrier and you have to wait until the next day to pick it up? [thumbdown] ![]() |

or... you buy something online and then while you're gone when it's delivered they leave a note on the first delivery attempt (even though they are supposed to make at least three) telling you to pick it up at your local post office... but your post office closes at 5:00pm on weekdays, so you have to request time off work to leave early so you can run to the PO. But when you get there you stand in line for nearly an hour before finally getting your violin rosin and notice the package is small enough to fit in your mailbox without the dumbass postal worker leaving you a slip. |

In my case:
Come home and fine failure to deliver slip requesting I go to the local post office on the high street. Day off next day so go to the post office. Get there and wait 45 minute in line only to be told "sorry mate, it's not here, you need to go to the parcel depot on the other side of town". Drive to the parcel depot, wait 30 minutes in the line "Sorry mate, dunno why they sent you here, it's at the local office on the high street" Ask them to check, it's definitely at the post office ![]() Go back to the post office, wait another 45 minutes in the queue "Sorry, it's not here" Kick off and shout that you've already been to the parcel depot and could they double check before you kill everyone within 50 yards. Postman finds your parcel, leave. Get home and discover that the wrong item has been sent to you by the shop..... |

I also hate it that the only decent espresso bar in midtown which I have been frequenting for years has now suddenly become insanely popular, and now I have to stand in line for 15 minutes every morning to get my latte and freshly baked cinnabun. [cursing] |

I used to think that was bad, until our post agency changed it's policy 2 years ago.
it'd be attempted for delivery *twice*, two days in a row that is, which is not optional! And the day after that you could pick it up... so if you had a job or anything useful to do it'd take 2 more days before you could pick it up! Now they've "fixed" it a couple of months ago, so you can go to some website with the form from the first delivery, login etc., and change the option to "i want to pick up my package", starting 2 days from now. Lol. They just don't get it [no] |

Had quite a few items where signature was required so they ended up being sent back to the place I bought it from. It's just cheaper to buy it locally for more than it is to take a couple of hours off work. |

I've had a delivery guy leave $3000 worth of computer parts sitting on my front porch on a busy street before. Signature required, btw. |
