Default US balanced budget proposal
Who cares what you think?

You want the country to fail. Lots of poor black people would suffer. HOORAY!

Think of all the coat hanger abortions because federally funded abortions won't be happening! But those back alley sluts will deserve to die in filth and shame! Just as God intended!

LET THEIR BE SQUALOR

He said that on the 8th day in prophet BK's bible

Yeah, I got to the bit about the debt ceiling preventing us from racking up more debt and stopped. As I understand it, the "debt ceiling" thing isn't actually about creating more debt, it's about paying off the debt we've already got. It has less to do with Big Government than with not reneging on obligations we've already made.

My solution to the debt is to round up and enslave illegal immigrants, especially those from Canada, and force them to work in dangerous mines.

Eliminate all funding for the department of energy? So I guess this guy want to get rid of the nuclear weapons program? Cool.
Because the nuclear weapons program did not exist before Carter.

I love that the article is saying Obama has scapegoats as if the Dems are the ones who pathologically insane and won't make a deal.

The GOP, particularly its RW fringe, is counting on the voters having amnesia. They are probably correct. The GOP should have zero credibility when it comes to fiscal matters. When GOPers don the mantle of fiscal "conservatism" they should receive nothing but scorn, derision, and gut-busting laughter.

But we live in bizzaro USA, where there is no accountability and a whole lot of amnesia.

I'd be happy to turn over all my current assets in exchange for citizenship.
What exactly are your assets?

What exactly are your assets? I have assets, yes Asher, as hard as that may be to believe. If the conditions were surrendering all of them to the United States in order to obtain citizenship I would consider that a fair trade. However, the system doesn't work that way.

Plus the value of my education, which as you've berated for me, is 'stealing from Canada', despite the fact that I do not owe the CDN government a dime. Unlike many others...

What is your net worth, Ben? Seriously.

You still don't comprehend. Your useless education was publicly subsidized under the guise that it would benefit society as a whole. You got your subsidized education then fled the country. You took the subsidized education and ran without ever paying the money back in taxes.

If I tracked down Ben and turned him in to the Department of Homeland Security. What kind of bounty payment would I get?

What is your net work, Ben? Seriously. Enough.

You took the subsidized education and ran without ever paying the money back in taxes. I paid my school off. As far as the Canadian government is concerned, that is all they care about. Paid it off long before I left to come down.

Yes, they simply evaporate at the stroke of an accountant's pen. that makes perfect sense.
No, they lack funding at the stroke of someone's pen. Without funding they can't do much.

...but they wouldn't "disappear", and that's the point. They would probably end up back under the DoD.
Wouldn't someone need to adjust the DoD budget for their "balanced budget proposal" then?

Certainly, and there are a lot of ways to do that.

Cutting conventional forces for one, which is already happening.
We could always launch them. Saves on maintenance costs.

We're taking out loans to pay off existing obligations. AKA loans.

Yes, I know, but BK made it sound like the debt ceiling would do nothing but prevent us from making the government bigger, when the real issue at this precise moment is that we need to keep it going to avoid the whole show going splat before we can fix it at all. Uh, this budget covers existing debt obligations, so you are wrong. Raising the debt limit is not necessary.
