there's evidence of trans-Atlantic contacts going back 7500 years, its quite possible, even likely people were using the ice sheet to hug the "coastline" between Greenland, Iceland and Britain and when the ice melted making the trip much more hazardous, memories of the contacts with the new world faded

Where I live people generally use the word Indian for the indigenous people of the Americas, and when they want to refer to someone as being from India they say Indian from India (which is retarded) or Hindu, as if Muslim or Christian or Buddhist/Jainist/Atheist Indians did not exist.
Indians ![]() Indians from India ![]() I would prefer it if we all would use Amerindian for the indigenous people of the Americas, and Indian for people form India. But Amerindian sounds like something from a 1936 German Physical Anthropology book. Amerindians are closest genetically to the siberian tribes of north east asia. |
