Well, math types will say "It's true, because 1+1 = 2" which is correct for their way of thinking. For liberal arts types, the name of the item is as important as the contents of it; and "1+1" and "2" are named in a much different manners, and to them that's important.

To me I don't care ... I have no use for "1+1" thus it matters not to me what it is or isn't. See? This is new math. All opinions are allowed, it would intolerant to exclude different viewpoints out.

Then, multiply by A: = B2 = AB

Subtract B square: A2 - B2 = AB - B2

Factor: (A+B)(A-B) = (A-B)B

Divide by (A-B): A+B = B

Now remember, A=B, so substitute "A" for "B"....
....A+A = A [that is 2A = A]

Divide by A: 2 = 1 or by the associate property of addition:
-------------> 1 = 2

Thus, 1+1 cannot equal 2, because 1 = 2.

Depends on the nature of those individual 1's.. for example, if the first 1 is a male and second 1 female, then definitely 1+1=insitution of good. So 1+1= inf.

If they both are male or female, then 1+1= sinful 69, thus negative inf.
