The Big (Simulated) Apple

The New York City Journal is a blog about New York... in Sim City. It's author has spent many months laboriously recreating every detail of the five boroughs, from Times Square, to MSG, to Governors Island, to Roosevelt Island, and beyond. It's amazing stuff-- page through his monthly archives for reenactments of major New York events like September 11th and the Upper East Side plane crash.

If you like this stuff, you should check out the Lego New Yorks in The Brick Apple and New York Miniland-- not to mention the New York Panorama at the Queens Museum.

2003-2006 Gothamist LLC.

Hedge - clearly you did not cheat enough. Nothing was impossible when you could keep giving yourself 500k in cash every month. (Also starting out with 1 mil never hurt)

But alas that was Sim City 2000. A long time ago....

Thanks BigMac for posting it and thanks for the support everyone!

Always good to see fellow SimCity player's here. BTW I'm the creator behind SimCity in New York if you haven't already figured it out.

millertime83, you can download some of the buildings from the downloads section on the blog and also from Simtropolis.com.
