Eh? Why have something that looks like a bad replica and has no power at all?

And ask £7500 for it........I'm convinced the write up for the advert must relate to a different car.

I think some people are just crazy.

It reminds me of the used car market around here...people are convinced that their piles of non-working garbage are made out of pure gold.

I'm surprised anyone has tried. The ONLY cars that seem to be successful at pulling off convincing kit cars are the Pontiac Fiero and the VW Beetle.

There are obvious difference between the two, and without extensive modification of the suspension and wheelbase it would be impossible to get closer. But the Fiero's space frame makes it ideal for Re-bodies.

Real Ferrari 308 (this is the only real car in any of the pics I'm posting, the rest are a Fiero)

Rebodied Pontiac Fiero aka the Pontiac Mera

The "Lamborghini Fiura"

They usually use Toyota MR2's for Ferraris due to the mid engine.

Anyway, I hate the practice.

The fiero is a mid engined car as well. And because its a space frame design all of the body panels mount to that. Which means its very easy to create a custom body. Plenty of people extend its wheelbase too to more close match the car being replicated. Otherwise its actually a fairly short wheelbase car.

Really?

The most obvious place to notice, aside from the generally..shoddy compared to the original bodywork, is around the wheels, the stance is completely wrong, the ass is too big , around the windshield frame, er...yeah.

I think he was being sarcastic. It's a horrendously shoddy mess.

Most people that aren't into cars would think it was real. I remember seeing an MR2 converted to look like a 355 and my friends wouldn't believe that it wasn't a Ferrari until I found Toyota printed on the glass. To me it obviously wasn't a 355 but to them it was.

This is the exact one. It's a far better job than that 430, but there's still plenty of signs
