Just wondering what the worst spoiler is that you've ever experienced. One that truly wrecked a movie for me was Shutter Island, as someone busted out with the ending. I still watched it, but I was constantly thinking about what was to come.

That's pretty random that happened to me with the same film my brother ruined it. I am still waiting to return him the favor!

Seriously, though, the film trailers are more of a personal hate - I don't mind them giving an idea of the general idea, but they usually give away far too much of the plot details - you've usually got a fair idea of the ending, so I'm usually more interested in how well they tell the story.
Going back a long way, NO-ONE mentioned the head rolling out the bottom of the boat on, IIRC, Jaws - the local cinema had a lot of broken seats from people jumping in reaction to it.

For me it was probably the Sixth Sense. An idiot at school spoiled the ending, but I totally forgot about it until about a 1/4th of the way in. I shouted expletives soon after.

Same here. While in the cinema a idiot at the end of my row figured out the crux of the film and it slowly worked its way along the row to me.
