Default Freddie Mercury??
After seeing someone on here posting a FM voice a like I started thinking....Has there ever been a better voice in rock than FM??

I can think of one guy who can come close and thats Sebastian Bach from Skid Row whos voice is also very original just like Freddys..

But can anyone beat Freddy??

edit: Heres Sebastian Bach Live....great voice IMO

If you have any doubts about FM being not only the most amazing vocalist in rock history, but also the best performer, check out this Queen live video from Live Aid in 1985.

Amazing.

BTW I hate the new smilies.

I think Freddy was by far a fantastic singer, song writer and front man- he had the complete package in that sense?
His voice was truly amazing and still catapults me back to my childhood in a heartbeat, i think though that there were other artists equal but yet to see greater than him?

Meatloaf is a great example, Sebastian Bach, Phil Colins and Rob Thomas spring to mind? These guys all have fantastic vocal ranges great stage presence and could write a tune.

The legend of Freddie is slowly be polluted and distorted in each tv program i see of him being shown or worst still in piss poor covers by boy bands and xfactor contestants.

He shall be remembered as one of the greats all the same?

I have never been quite convinced by either Queen nor Freddie Mercury.

Freddie is the only Rock/Pop singer to have the sort of voice that can compete with a world class soprano like Montserrat Caballe. Freddie rocked.
