That isn't how it works at all. Even in Texas.
Texas is a castle doctrine state.

There is not one state in the Union where you can lure someone into your house and kill them. Either follow the discussion or quiet down like a good boy.

Wow, I hate getting back. The only reason I stay on this rock is because I'd miss my friends and family.

my wife was in our house whilst I was away at sea for 6 months, she had someone try all the doors and windows at 2 am, I suspect it was the window cleaner,as he was a very strange man and I suspect that he wouldn't be trying to nick anything if it was him trying to get in..

To hot for me ,I'm happy with my life to a degree .I would have considered moving away if things was different. We are moving away from the subject ,I would have to live in the USA with mass guns to understand if I had a fear of what could happen . It's easy to get the wrong idea from what we see on the box and in the papers .

I was just pointing out that Texas is a castle doctrine state. There's no reason to act like a condescending preteen.

Stand your ground states are better then just a Castle state. Castle states are pretty much just in your home, car or work while stand your ground expands to anywhere you have a legal right to be.
It seems like a vast majority of states you are more or less guilty until proven innocent. But there are a handful of states that are "make my day" states where you are innocent until proven otherwise.
Though each state is completely different in terms of their laws, and if you own a firearm, just make sure you know your state laws for any situation that someone might put you in. Know what you can and can't do.
That map can be very misleading because it is just a general map of what the laws are similar too. There are a couple states that are Castle states, but if you can retreat that is your #1 duty, even within your own home. So this could make defending yourself if you did kill someone a lot harder.

Apparently what happened the other day might have just been some kids roaming about. Coming home last night after dinner a neighbors house was toilet papered. If they start messing around with our house I am going to have to start planning some measures to prevent this crap. Hate neighborhoods. [thumbdown]

You should really go stay in the city. Any city, as TP is no big deal. lol

Probably because they can handle the power of a 'make my day' state. I'm pretty sure that if people in Colorado started shooting kids for putting toilet paper on their house the laws would change.

Stop commenting like you actually know anything about the law, you embarrass yourself. Not a single thing in your post is accurate. Thankfully I know that a majority of users here know not take anything you say seriously.
