That's cool... He mentions it's not floating, but that it's locked... what would happen if he'd put his finger between the locked (floating) area?

The same thing that happens when you put a magnet in your hand, since your hand isn't made of superconducting material. If it was dangerous he probably wouldn't be doing it bare handed in an unsecured display setting. It just looks cold.
