I though it was amazing how he maintained virtually the same club and arm positioning when they show the slo-mo part. I'll bet most us wouldn't be that closely identical swing to swing even standing still. But that's why he's on tour and I'm here writing this. LOL

I've seen this one a few times. I really enjoy Sports Science sometimes.

I can Happy Gilmore a driver. I do it sometimes, especially in 4-man scrambles if we already have a good shot in the fairway. I make good contact most of the time and generally wind up with similar results to a normal swing, but the misses are much more missed.

They have shown Paddy making this swing quite a few times. It seems he works it into his practice routine as Ive seen him a few times doing it on the range on Golf Channel. Seems it would help with your weight shift although being quite difficult, he really has it mastered from the looks of it.

It's a good drill to get the feeling of moving weight into the left side. I sometimes just step my left foot down the line to get the feeling.

I hadn't actually seen that before. Awesome that paddy was willing to try that. Very cool the way they broke that all down.

Love the Sports Science stuff and major props to Paddy for taking a risk like that. Imagine if he had wrenched his back during those attempts - YOW!

That's pretty cool, I'd love to see him break that out in a tournament. I know I've messed around trying to do that but I could never get a solid hit on the ball.

Hmmm. And short-hitting me with a scramble on Saturday.
We'll see how many caesars I knock back. It'd be a laugh good or bad.

I hadn't seen that before but I can see how it would be a good drill to move the weight.
I'd probably fall out of my chair if he'd bust that out in a tournament.

Thanks for sharing!

Default humorous but interesting golf swing with Padraig Harrington
This video of pro (Padraig Harrington) from 2009 tries sort of science experiment with swing. The "Happy Gilmore" swing from the movie. Perhaps some seen this before but just happened across this and found it actually a bit interesting and at least a bit humurously entertaining. http://youtu.be/wguFY0DDoAU
