Why does Tiger have to answer to anything?

Would I have to if I was a manwhore? Who gives a fuck. I don't buy stuff because Tiger gets paid to plug it. I buy it because I want it. I don't buy Nike stuff, I do buy the Gatorade Propel but not because of him.
He's got sponsors. Do you??

This was all a dog and pony show not for his family, btw, but for his image.

What'll be interesting is when he does get back on the course....and the catcalls ensue. He's already somebody you can't take a picture of during his backswing. What's gonna happen when somebody vocally calls him out when he's on the green???

He's got loads of support and yes this is technically about his personal life and has 'nothing' to do with his golf life. But he participated in the crafting of his image, so....

there isnt a single golfer on the tour that likes people clicking cameras in their backswing. and most of the other guys only have a couple dozen because the other couple thousand are taking his. you're knocking him for something that applies to all of the pga guys. find a better argument.

You mean some of the sponsors that dropped him already? All the ones sticking with him know his personal and business life are seperate, as Nike has said.

Not to mention he apologized already. People seem to think he owes the fans something. He doesn't. He made mistakes in his personal life. I don't care about that. I'm sure a lot of my favorite athletes are assholes. Who cares. Hasn't affected me one bit.

fucking win right here. cant wait till he gets his 2nd chance from society and all those companies that dropped him come crawling back. too bad he's apparently all about revenge based on when he called his presser. he's gonna charge them triple to get him back or he'll go to their competitor.

That would be a good article if anything in it were true. He's still in charge and that isn't going to change. If he wasn't in charge, why the animosity about when he scheduled his public apology? If he wasn't in charge, no one would watch.

It took Kobe all of a few months before people were marveling at how he could be involved in criminal proceedings accusing him of rape and dropping 40 points later that night. Within a year no one talked about his indiscretions anymore. And Kobe is no Tiger Woods.

Some people will turn their backs and not watch and that is each person's right to do....but don't kid yourselves...he's in charge, people are still going to cheer for him and within no time he'll have commercials/sponsors all over again.
The animosity's more about who he's letting be there and the fact no questions were taken. I don't think anybody- even the reporter who was going off on him yesterday on the news- was saying he wouldn't watch. (That gripe probably came more from us out West since it took place at 8AM PST).

Problem, though, with 'Kobe' vs Tiger is that Kobe's accuser was somebody who in a way set him up and then tried to shake him down for a pay day.

These women of Tiger's were all approached by *him*. The only 'set-up' i can see with regard to Tiger is when they all wanted to sell their stories to the tabloids/media *after* agreeing to be with him even when they had to have known he was married. (well, tbh that waitress probably did think she hit the jackpot when he hit on her).

But by all accounts, Kobe's woman (singular, btw) had semen from two other guys in her drawers (can you say 'skank'??) and drew him in to the situation he found himself in (and i'm not saying Kobe was correct in falling for it). He should have known better and ended up in a legal nightmare that he luckily got out of.

Tiger, though, was telling women he'd buy them 'this' or they'd be his special 'that'...all while he's married to Elin??

Personally, i've always seen him as an introverted nerdy kid who just happens to have a lot of talent on the golf course. He finally has a chance to cut loose and live a little...but it's after he's married.

I think he should just divorce Elin and continue doing whatever it is he wants to do. Be the Tommy Lee or David Lee Roth of the golfing world. He's in control, right??

But that sponsorship/image-thing seems to get in the way of that lifestyle...and he wants to keep that image part, too.

It's gonna get a whole lot more interesting when some loud mouth decides to follow his two-some around on a Sunday.

I'm sure the PGA won't put up with it. He will be protected, and they will be kicked out. That will probably be one of the things he clears before coming back to the Masters.

He'll get his 2nd chance and he'll garner more sponsors.

But he's going to have to balance that image with having been divorced and now-single-again-ready-to-mingle....

Most of your favorite athletes probably don't make $50 million in endorsements alone either.

That becomes a problem when an athlete wants endorsement deals *and* to run around banging skanks with a wife and kids at home.

He should hook up with Trojan as a new sponsor....

No doubt.

But you'll have that one guy...the one who dares to be seen on TV with some 'message' for Tiger and who dares to be kicked off the course who's gonna push it.

Well, seeing as candy bars have you whining like a nancy about 'em, maybe you should.
Not whining at all, merely sharing my discovery.

I'm hoping for a multi-commercial deal.

like this wont get taken care of quickly. dude runs golf, he can basically get what he wants or threatens to walk and the pga is never the same. he is everything to the sport. not to mention, if you've ever been to a golf event, it's not like its full of a bunch of assholes. they're a respectable bunch. especially at majors. people yelling at him is prolly the last thing anyone really needs to worry about. tiger finding a woman on the 3rd hole and passing a note to her to meet him later after the round for drinks is prolly a bigger worry.

So cheating only once is different than cheating multiple times?

Cheating is cheating.
