Anyone else excited? This has fast become one of my favorite sporting events. It is so cool to see the normal stoic golfers acting like college football players playing the big game. Throw in the team and patriotic element and this is way better than a major.

I think we will get beat but I also think we will play better than expected. Well except for Phil. I have come to really hate Phil. Mostly because he is supposed to be great and he isn't. He just isn't.

Yeah, 3 majors is just average.

But aside from that I'm right with you...the ryder cup is the absolute shit.

Mickelson has already won an award in the Ryder Cup.

The Cleavage Award.

I also think we have a chance. As much of a Tiger fan as I am, he has not exactly excelled in Ryder Cup play, so the other "regular" players have a chance to not be in his shadow and make a match out of it.

Looking good right now.
2 wins and what's looking like 2 ties after Perry's tee shot.

US up 5 1/2-2 1/2.

Faldo is going to have Lee Westwood and Sergio Garcia sit out Saturday.
His 2 best players, both with tremendous Ryder Cup records.

He's a freaking genius. I mean that in a way that he's a genius who has to have someone feed him or he'd starve to death, and he probably needs a guide to get to the first tee.

Yeah I figured that would be the majority's opinion. I know it's not fair to compare anyone to Tiger but as golf's other big gun he falls way short. In a head to head on Sunday Tiger wins 9 out of 10. Guess I am just expecting more from a guy with his gifts. Other top players over the years seem to be in the mix a lot more than Phil. Seems like he ends up playing in the 3rd group off on Sunday in an awful lot of majors.

But back to the topic, USA! What happened with Boo and Holmes at the end? My recording stopped as Holmes was about to hit on 17 with Boo already tight. Did the Euros birdie 18?

Boo hit his ball in the water on 18 and Holmes followed with the same. They lost the hole with a par to the euros birdie. 1/2 point to each.

I think Zinger has to put Weekly with Westwood on sunday after Lee came out and made comments about him pumping up the crowd.

he's won three majors in which woods has been in the field. i don't believe anyone else can say that. he's got more wins on tour than any other active player not named tiger woods. i believe he has a streak of winning at least two tournaments a year(i could be wrong about this). tiger woods was asked who the best player on tour is now that tiger is out with injury. his answer was mickleson.

It's a Justin Leaonard revival, although it would've been nice to see him make that last one on 18 this morning for the win.

Hopefully Perry/Furyk hold off the Euros for a win here...
