Yeah, so we've had a few days of rain. The weather finally breaks, and I zip down to the course to get a few holes in.

Not a car in the lot, the gates are locked shut. Shit.

Don't think I've ever seen that this time of year.

A bit too wet or did the grounds keeper want some time off?

I'm thinking with the 3 days of rain, they haven't been able to cut the greens or fairways.

Also, the carts tend to tear up the turf when the grass is soaked, but I don't use one anyway.

So I finally got out there after another week, practiced on 9 holes usually 2-3 balls per hole.

It did get wet. There were at least two pumps going trying to drain little ponds that had formed in the fairways. Stupid ducks thought they had another place to nest.

9-18 holes a week ain't doing much to polish my game, though.

I'm thinking about taking 2 weeks off.

Then quitting.

The knee?

I've scored well in the little I've played, but can't count on that to go on without more consistency.

I was marching along today, minding my own business and playing respectably, when I came to 194 17th. Had about a one club wind against.

I figure I'll just smack a 3 iron and hope I get close to the green.

I must have scuffed four balls, two went in the water. That's as pissed as I've been on the course in a long time.

I went and hit balls this morning, pounded them on the range. Then I couldn't do anything right on the course. Same way yesterday. I suck. I can't blame it on my knee.
