Yesterday I hit a miserabe 101, today started off the same, couldn't figure out what the fuck I was doing wrong. Finally it dawned on me, holding the club too tight and swinging too hard. I started to just grip the club with my last two fingers, swung easier and started hitting the driver and getting the right distance with the irons. Still hit a 96, but the course has a high slope rating.

Now if I could just get my touch back with the wedge.

Then, by the time you "figure it out" for now, the season will be over.

There's always next year to go through the same process...

I like the early spring rounds too, when you think you're a he-man for hitting 300 yard drives down the semi-frozen tundra.

Usually the shitty putting evens it out, though.

Today was beautiful. It was 41 when we teed off this morning...shot a 53 on the front. When we made the turn it was almost 60 degrees, took off the coat and shot a 42 on the back. My best score ever on this course for nine holes.

I finally get my clubs back this weekend. I'm hoping to have some decent weather over the next week or so to get a couple more rounds in for the year.

I don't know when I'll play again. Between my back and my shoulder I was taking divots with my wedges Saturday that a squirrel could hide in. I rook Sunday off.

Back seems beter but my shoulder still hurts. I'm taking tomorrow off work too.
