Saturday we were playing and our 4th had come down with the flu. So they told us to just go ahead as 3. We were on the 8th tee box waiting with the guy who was in front of us. He was wearing a kilt. In 40 degree weather. He told us that he was solo, so I told him at the turn I would ask the clubhouse girl of he could join our group and she said yeah. Played the back 9 with him. Pretty good golfer. The best part was he picked up the tab for all of us at the 19th hole. We swapped information and turns out he is new to the area and doesn't know many people that golf. I think our foursome is now gonna be a 5 some. And maybe I'll wear my kilt now

cool story! i don't mean to stereotype here but hear me out: I was playing with my pops as a twosome and we were on about the 4th hole and we had two women, asian in ethnicity, playing up our arses. we got to the 5th and figured we'd invite them up. turns out (can't remember their names) that both of them were on the ladies asian tour and were visiting family (they both went to William and Mary, in virginia)...get this, they BOTH shot under par for 18...never seeing the course before playing from the mens 'member' tees (roughly 6,400 yards or so). for everyone's info, we were playing kingsmilll plantation course in williamsburg, va. smallest, longest hitting women i've ever seen.
