Why can't we wear T-shirt and shorts when playing golf?
T-shirts and shorts will allow all golfers to move freely with their body. If Golf is a sport, then the player should wear the same outfit like any other sports. I don't think anyone can move their body freely with a Polo and a pair of pants, especially under humid condition. |

The collar makes someone less free of movement? Because outside of that, golf shirts are available in many different materials and cuts, so frankly the only difference would be the collar and I am not sure how that constricts. I just feel I can move freely with a t-shirt. |

Why can't we wear T-shirt and shorts when playing golf? Maybe you should look into going up a size. I buy my golf shirts a little "big" so I feel that "free" feelin' you speak of. |

I own golf shirts that I believe are better material for "humid" than that of a baseball player's uniform. And last time I checked, the Yankees weren't sporting "jorts" on the diamond. I am in full support of the "dress code" for professional golf, well...because they are professionals and I like them to look that way. Yeah my Polo is one size bigger. Still I don't like wearing them during Golf. |

JB, not just the collar. The whole polo material kind of restrict my body movement. And I got Nike TW Polo. |

I'm not even sure how to say this.... but I'm talking about weekend golfers... golfers who wants to have fun on the course. As far as collars...I go with JB. I really don't think a collar makes one single difference in the equation. |

Simple answer to being what you think is constricted whilst swinging is get a better fit of shirt or simply a larger size. What you must remember is that t-shirts, by their very nature no matter if you spend $10 or $80 on it, they are not in anyway fitted to your shape or size as they are made to be functional rather than pretty and good fitting.

I live in T shirts as they are very comfortable, and shorts most of the year. That said, I feel more comfortable in a polo shirt (especially when it is hot and muggy out) and dress shorts (Bermudas, Dockers, etc) while playing golf. Also, some courses around here allow jeans also...............not comfortable playing in them either, even though outside of golf, if I am not in shorts I am in jeans.
