Default What's the most versatile club in your bag?
For me, the club that I think is most versatile is my 5 iron. I can play a multitutde of shots out of the fairway with workability either way. Also hitting high and low shots and knowing the distance each of them will travel takes some grooving on the range but for me the 5 iron is the most versatile...How about you?

I picked up a 9 wood a few years back and I love it. I can hit it off the tee on a line and straight. I can also tee it up a little higher and hit it nice and soft for long par 3's. I don't swing very hard so it works well for me. I also hit it nice and low so it runs down the fairway as well.

Gonna have to say my 19.5* W/S Fybrid. Great out of the rough or sand. I can close the face and use it for bump and run shots up onto the green, and have even used it to putt last week when I forgot my to put my putter back in the bag after re-gripping it.

Excellent question Fati, and I hope to see that versatility on Monday @ Cullasaja!

I'd have to say my 50* wedge. I can hit full shots, 3/4 shots, 1/2 shots, chip shots, pitch shots.......and when I throw one real close, I'll even putt with it.

I agree! When I was shopping for a hybrid I was looking at this and the TM Rescue. I chose this mostly because of the price, but it feels great! I am very pleased with the workability I get with this club. I use it off the tee as well as aproach and bump and run shots.

56º wedge. I use it for every shot inside 90 yards.

I would say my 25* TM hybrid. I can hit it off the tee, out of the rough, and under trees if I have to.

I have a 19 degree Taylormade Rescue that I seem to be able to use for so many shots I stopped counting them, I love it so much we created a "Hybrid" Challenge with my local playing partners. Playing 9 holes with only a hybrid, it's a ton of fun!

If we are going with versatility, it would have to be my hybrids. They are great from all lies and I will also use them to putt from the fringe depending on the conditions.

I would have to say the gap wedge that came in my Ci7 set. I try to get 110 yards out so I can pull this out and stick it pin high, but anything inside 100 I use this almost always.

54° sand wedge. I hit everything from chips just off the green to sand (natch) to full shots (about 100 yds).

I JUST recently switched away from the Ci7 set. I would agree with you 100% that this is the best club in the bag. I d my GW and used it from about 120 all the way to chipping. When near the green, I had no problem either hitting it a tad bit higher, or getting it low and running it up on the green. Matched with my yellow Z-Star's, my partners were often amazed at the amount of 'stoppage' I could get off this club. I've only had my Adams A4R's a short time now, and they're great clubs, but sometimes I miss the Ci set.

My irons, I can hit one of them 220, and one of them 140. Plus I chip around the greens with them sometimes.

Probably my 7I. I use it for low shots out of the trees, anything from 165-180 and occasionally for chipping.

It's a toss-up between my PW and my SW. My PW is great from about 110-120 and my SW from around 80-100. If pressed, it must be my SW.

I'd have to say my 8 iron. It's the club I can work the ball with the most and if I need to muscle up on a shot and not club up this is the club I can do it with. I also use my 8 for bump and run shots. Other than my 8, I'd say my 56*SW.

clever haha.

I'll nominate my 60* The club I use for all 100yds and in. I can hit it low, or skyrocket it high. Pitch it, chip it, or even get out of a greenside bunker with it! I can get it to check quick, or do a mini bump and run. I can even change it's face! That's versatility.
