This Wed-Fri I met up with CraigMac in Chicago for some golf and cigars and general hanging out with some other friends. Craig and I are also members of a cigar forum, www.botl.org. About 11 or 12 of us met up in Chicago with some friends that live there and played 18 holes on Wed, 27 on Thurs and 18 again on Fri before Craig I had to leave. Had some great golf at Bolingbrook and Heather Falls I believe the name of the other course was. We were able to dodge the weather all 3 days as almost right after we were done each day it rained and yesterday apparently right after we left the course they had a tornado warning in the area. Craig is a fantastic golfer and it was great playing some rounds with him and sharing some great cigars with him. Some great friendships made through BOTL and THP!

Awesome! I love it when guys can get together and enjoy some time on the golf course.

I also love the city of Chicago, it would be a great place to meet up with a big group of folks.

Was a great time meeting the guys and getting to play a few rounds of golf. We went back out after the first 18 and I played with James, the guy flat kills it off the tee. All though we didn't score as well as we wanted to the second 18 it was still a great time. Some of the guys we played with were some of the longest hitters I have seen. I would hit what I thought was a good drive and they would hit it 40+ yards past me, on one hole I hit a drive around 270ish and my buddy Mike was 85 yards past me, granted he played a draw that hit the slope perfectly... but still..

We couldn't have asked for better weather there too, was mid 90's thursday and mid 80's on friday. I think I smoked 10 cigars in the 48 hours I was there, lol.

Let's see, last time I was in Chicago was for a wedding last summer.....and I think I paid approximately $12-$14 in tolls just to get to the hotel in Chicago.....oh, and traffic crawled and it took 2.5 hours to get to the wedding location. But it's one vibrant city!
