So being newly married, and having hit some golf balls recently I question you all this. I was at the range the other day and couldn't stand having the ring on while swinging the clubs so I took it off, not to mention taking my glove off it tried to pull it off. I remove it when I goto the gym, and it looks like I will be removing it for golfing as well.
So that leads me to, Do you leave your wedding band on or take it off when you golf? |

Hahaha this is the common question we all ask ourselves. I just got married last October. 10-10-10 to be exact (did that to help me remember the anniversary). I was in limbo with this question as well and I saw Jim Furyk playing on tv and noticed he had his on so I figured I would give it a try. I have not had any issues with it at all and leave mine on pretty much all the time except for working out. I fear the dumbells etc scratching against it. I even wear mine playing tennis but I have a 1 handed backhand and being a righty it does not affect me holding the racquet. With all of this said I have not played in the hot months yet so that may be a little different as the fingers swell in the warm months.
I think it ultimately comes down to personal preference. |

It does take a little bit to get used to. I did realize that if I can feel my ring, I know that I'm gripping the club to hard. This is my first season golfing after I got married. I cant stand wearing my ring when I am golfing, glove or not. My ring has a flat square edge and is probably a mm or more thick, so when my finger pinches the ring it hurts alot. But maybe I will start wearing it because I know I tend to have a strong grip. |

I rarely wear my wedding ring anymore. I'm just not a fan of jewelry and in this FL heat even more so now. One note though is that if you're a newlywed I would not take that thing off unless it was a complete nuisance. After being married for a long time (definition of "long time" differs for everybody) then you can have that conversation. My wife and I are in agreement about this as she doesn't wear hers much either because of her job. For playing it's really personal preference.

I do not wear my rings playing golf or at the gym. I have big knuckles and smaller fingers and the rings spin. I am afraid of getting the gems messed up. When I take them off I don't have to worry about them and I don't pike the feel of them on my finger for golf either.
My husband keeps his wedding ring on all the time. |
