When I forward press, my blade opens. Ive never been able to distribute my balance to stop this from happening, so I never try.

I don't because of the SeeMore alignment. I have in the past and I was too inconsistent. I'm still not consistent but better than before.

Ah I see, maybe they can come up with a putter for people who forward press

Their alignment aids now make sure the putter is in the proper position to put a proper stroke on the ball. Why would someone want to change that?

I've been working to get rid of mine. Some days I change the face angle when I do it... not good...

I didn't up until last year and it has made loads of difference. I also putt more weight on my left foot.

Always. De-lofts the putter just a bit to skip me from skipping the ball, and also helps get the back of my right hand (lefty) going at the target. I forward press on every golf shot I hit. I think it helps square and de-loft the club face at impact. It also helps with a smooth takeaway and leads to a proper loading of the club as it nears the top of the back swing. I learned that 30+ years ago, and my daughter learns the same thing right now from the same coach.

I doubt they'll want to mess with their winning combination. The alignment aid is supposed to promote consistent set-up. I guess you could adapt it to your preferred stroke but I don't think that delofting the clubface will yield any better results.

I always forward press. I have seen many of the top putting instructors advocating forward press as it gives the ball a more consistent roll.

I've been using it and I feel it provides a much better and more true roll.

No forward press for me with a putter but I do with almost all other clubs. The FP is what starts my swing.

When I was gaming my SC Del Mar I did because it would put a better roll on the ball. When I'm using Anser and Softtail style heads I usually don't.

Never forward press and never really understood the concept behind doing it so I never even attempted it.

I wonder if players with a blade putter forward press more often than mullet?

I'm not a fan of mullets and I no longer forward press. I used to until I went to a 3* loft putter. I find it gives the roll I'm looking for and I have enough trouble leaving things right, open.

I tend to roll the rock better when I forward press. I just forget to do it sometimes.

I always forward press with the putter. They say you want -3* of loft at impact on putts. Michael Breed did a whole hour on Golf Fix either this week or last week on putting. It's worth a watch.
