This week some of the networks has released previews and trailers for the 2011-2012 season. Some very promising, and others just ugh.
I'm looking forward to watching these: The premises of this one is really interesting done right, but I have a bad feeling that it will confuse people. I hope not. Awake (NBC) I'm not a fan of "parenting comedy", but I'll watch anything with Will Arnett: Up All Night (NBC) It's the aftermath of what V would've used ages to get to, and bore us while at it. It sounds promising already: Falling Skies (TNT) The trailer is a bit dark. I just hope it won't turn out like "The Gates 2.0": Grimm (NBC) There's been a lot of hype about this one, and getting through a portal to colonize the past? Yes, please. Terra Nova (FOX) http://thevoiceoftv.com/tv/2011-05-1...-nova-tv-show/ |

Awake looks interesting, but also depressing. I think I'd be more likely to watch it if it were a movie or a mini-series. Will Arnett and Christina Applegate look funny together, but I'm not a fan of father-based baby stuff (except for Raising Hope). Falling Skies could go either way. Terra Nova seems like a show that FOX will cancel halfway through the first season. I'm very apprehensive about getting in to shows on FOX because they really treat their shows worse than all the other networks combined.
The list of shows canceled for next season went out today too. L&O: LA was on it. NBC really fucked that one up. Take it off, put it on, put it on at a bad time, take it off, change it around, bring it back, don't give it time to get back on its feet. |
