Even for Star Wars that poster seems a little over-cheesy to me... I'm not saying it's BAD... just seems a bit... dunno. It's quite clever though I'll admit

Default Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge Of The Sith Official Teaser Poster...
Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge Of The Sith Poster Revealed

Source(s): StarWars.com

Each fall before the May release of a Star Wars film, fans have two things on their mind: teaser poster and teaser trailer. Now, the first of these wish-list items is a reality, as starwars.com reveals the striking new teaser poster for Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith.

Next week, the teaser poster and banner for Episode III will start appearing in movie theaters in North America and elsewhere. This bold design is now available on exclusive collectibles from StarWarsShop.com.For the first time ever, Lucasfilm is making available to fans a double-sided printing of the poster, the exact same format that's shipping to theaters. The poster image is also available on a mug and a T-shirt.

While visitors to starwars.com are kept informed of the latest Episode III developments as they happen, the general movie-going public's first introduction to Episode III is in the form of the teaser poster. As a first visual representation of a film to a broad audience, a teaser poster must efficiently convey the main spirit and theme of a film, but leave the full depth of characters and relationships for the release poster several months later.

Like the teaser posters for The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones, this one features Anakin Skywalker. Hayden Christensen is depicted as the heroic Jedi warrior, with the encroaching dark cloud of his future represented by his flowing cloak hinting at the Dark Lord to come. It is a darker incarnation of the shadow that followed him as a young boy in the Episode I teaser poster, with the terrifying features of Darth Vader more visible than ever before.

Here's a look at the teaser posters from Episodes past, showcasing the evolving Star Wars saga and movie poster styles.

--------------------------------

Thoughts/Comments: Well, it's about time that George finally released the final teaser poster for the final and upcoming Star Wars prequel. Now, we just have to wait for the teaser trailer coming to theaters Nov. 5th. Leave your comments on what you guys think of the teaser poster.

Edit - And yes, I DID put the poster in my sig. What?

That-Fucking-Rocks!

Possibly the best R.O.T.S poster/teaser I've seen so far.

The thing that's really pissing me off is how its still another 6 months away from release for the US! That means like fucking 8 months for UK! Fuck off Lucas! Its finished now and we all know it!

I think they're just going for the same look they did with the teaser posters from Episodes I & II. It's not that it looks cheesy and not what we're used to, but it's just trying to emphasize the fact that Anakin become Darth Vader and goes to the dark side in this last episode.
