That must have had a big effect on you. The environment can effect anyone and everyone, yanno. Even though I was born and bred just around the corner from your Masjid, I grew up mostly in an environment of Niqab and separation between men and women. Despite now living in a free for all, gender mixing society, growing up like that has made me feel uncomfortable around women too.
