Default Incident regarding Ibrahim (as)
Salam

I was recently conversing with a Shia professor of mine, and he mentioned a certain story to me for the second time.

I have never heard this story before, and am curious of it's source and authenticity and whether this story has been narrated from sunni sources or it is simply something the shias believe.

the story goes something along the lines of this:

Ibrahim is eating with a person but that person does not say Bismillah before he begins eating. this makes Ibrahim (as) a little angry and [i'm a bit fuzzy on the details] and he scolds the person or something to that effect.

later Allah informs Ibrahim that he was in error, and it was his (Allah's) decision whether or not to feed that person regardless of whether or not he took Allah's name before eating. thus Ibrahim had no right to scold him...

if anyone has information on this story I would be curious to learn of it properly. I suspect the version I heard was not entirely accurate.
