![]() Here is a radical solution : Open the file called hosts with notepad, located in the folder c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\ . And copy-paste this line on bottom as a new line: Code: Code
127.0.0.1 http://replace.thewebsitehere.com Register and quit. This will work on all browsers of the computer insha'Allah. |

![]() Try what verdana suggested. Install k9 and add that specific website in blocking list. http://www.k9webprotection.com/ |

Simple and easy method of blocking website is what brother bugmenot said but the thing should add here is the default gateway.
Open c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\ 1. Open host with notepad or wordpad or ms word 2. In the very next line of 127.0.0.1 localhost write your default gateway ( I hope you know this, otherwise open your Local Area connection(right below at the bottom) then click on support and you can find there) For example if you want to block "Facebook" Then write facebook.com (not www.facebook.com) In the next line again same procedure but this time you have to type www.facebook.com save it and close. For example,if my default gateway is 192.168.787.1, then I will follow this procedure 127.0.0.1 localhost 192.168.787.1 facebook.com 192.168.787.1 www.facebook.com Note: You have to "save" it for seeing the effect. |

If you are using windows operating system then blocking host in system 32 as mentioned early will definitely work. It just means you not able to save the host file, this occurs due to administrator rights. Check on google for why the problem had occurred but it should block the ip address you add to it
