This is what I meant by host file in system 32. The issue was as suspected in saving the host file.

Google those exact words and you will see many solutions.

another option would be to ' save as' then select file type as all files then save to the desk top. you could either copy this file or drag and drop to overwrite the original host file. it does not work all the time

brother i tried this thing the same msg is appearing again....and 1 more thing found thru google was to run note pad as administrator but i was not able to save the file again

I have found out your solution.
Your UAC is enable and for that purpose it is asking you that.
I have made a new account in my system (GUEST ACCOUNT) and in that, it is asking me same thing as what you are saying.
The solution for your problem is simply disabling UAC.

Here is the procedure for disabling it

After disabling it , do the same thing which I said you in the beginning.
Hopes this will be your last attempt and it will work
