Where the Jinns live?
 

Assalam-o-allaikum,


As it has been mentioned in Quran and there is a whole Surah on them that along with sinner human beings Jinns will also be the fuel for the fire of Hell. Does anybody read somewhere or have some knowledge where they live and what is their life is like??? SO there is no doubt in their existence but what are their where abouts and how they do sins and good deeds???

They live in uninhabited buildings, dirty places like toilets, graveyards etc.

they also leave on trees and in masjids

they do good deeds by praying and helping others etc..

and they do evil by torturing others etc..

Really? I did not know this, what if I keep my toilet clean and pour bleach and stuff into it?

don't worry brother, just memorise the du'a for entering and exiting the toilet and supplicate to Allah (seek protection in Him) and inshallah you'll be ok.

Besides you should be keeping it clean anyway...

i think theres one or two living in my attic bedroom.

only if you use he new domestos which includes jinn zap technology.

Possible locations where they live

Old trees
Dark places
Wells
Old buildings
Toilets mostly in schools, offices which are not used always

InshaAllah i will memorize and utilize the dua, as for keeping it clean, when you have 2 boys being potty trained its very very very very hard to keep it clean

MOst of what we know about the habits of jinns comes from anecdotal evidence passed on by word of mouth throughout the generations.

Having said that, much of what the brothers and sisters in this thread have related regarding their habitations is correct.

I have also heard very large Jinns live above the tree lines of some mountains.

Ps just a interesting anecdote: A man once tried to assassinate my Sheikh while he was giving a lecture in the himalayas. As the assassin ran had the Sheikh with a knife, two Jinn Talibs of the sheikh picked him up and through him down the side of a mountain. I did not see this first hand but several (human) talibs have told me the story who did see it first hand, they said the man just lifted up and then went flying through the air, screaming the whole time. Meanwhile my sheikh continued the lecture without even a pause.

It's not jinns that I'm terrified of its people.
