You have misunderstood my arguement. My arguement was not that evolution had similar evidence to Germ theory or the theory of gravity. But, as we accept those other "theories" we cannot dismiss evolution just because it is called a theory. Sure, we can dispute the evidence. But, we can't dismiss it just because it is called a theory.
Actually, we can. There is a reason that stuff is called theories as opposed to laws, models, other technical terms. Of course in the vernacular people might use words like theory more loosely.

In fact, I don't think the "theory" of gravity is really properly called a theory in the scientific sense. It's more of an observed model. It's not based on general principles independent of the phenomenon it's describing.

The "theory" of gravity for example is a useful model that applies in certain constrained conditions. It makes no grand philosophical judgements and is not even derived from first principles.

In fact, I believe the currently accepted model of the universe has a different equation for gravity( that simplifies to something close to Newton's theory in those constrained conditions).
