Default Intelligent Dawah techniques?
Do you think talking about the siwak with your dentist might initiate an interest in our Deen?

I'd like to know if there's been any reliable scientific studies done in comparing the miswaak with the toothbrush.

Good idea.

Yes. Give the dentist a freshly cut miswak, or one of those you get in sealed packets.

Assalamu alaykum.

May be you should finish your consultation with the dentist first. Then ask "how are my teeth", if the reply is "they are healthy". Then you can show your miswak and say "our Rasool SAS has recommended us to use at least 5 times a day". Then he/she will show interest towards other branches of deen.

I had this discussion with someone a while ago and it seems that the miswaak´s benefit mostly comes from the "liquid" that is in the miswaak itself. The "rubbing" technique itself is not nearly as important. I am sure there was a study on this, but rather on the liquid than on the miswaak as a whole.

Then there are toothpastes which claim to have extract of neem and other miswak branches.

Is it practically possible to paste at least six times a day.
