Default Breaking Out
I am 25 and all of a sudden about a month ago I started breaking out - BAD.

I have it ALL over from my forehead to the top of my breasts. Some of the zits are just on the top, some are skin deep.

Some hurt, some refuse to go away. Some are scaly and nasty.

I even have some on my ear lobes! and my arms!

I know - sexy right? I don't know what to do. I have NEVER had acne - if this is acne??

I have NEVER had a break out this bad either. I've tried washing things, eating things, not eating things, different face washes.

What do you guys do? have? use?

I'm scared this all could scar too. I had nice skin before this

ANy change in medication or different medication? Stress?

Could also be your body getting rid of toxins because of your dietary changes/vegetarianism..and yes, it could happen all of a sudden.

SOunds like a good thing to me in all honesty Janie...I'm sure it will clear up soon...plenty of sunshine...fish oils...(bite the bullet)

I'm taking flax seed oil.

I really hope it doesn't have anything to do with my thyroid. I'm about fed up with all of that.

It just sucks .

They won't scar unless you pick/pop them. I speak from experience, I's a picker.

It's likely your body flushing things out, increase the amount of water you drink, get a mild unscented soap for cleaning (Dove is best I find) and wash the problem areas twice a day. Maybe get a acne toner to help dry the pores out.

Keep the area moist then with a lotion that has aloe in it.. you won't be able to pick them if you can't get a grip on them..

ive always have bad skin but i use simple products daily now and its got it under control. i use Simple face wash, cleanser, and toner. and simple light hydrating moisturiser. when my skin gets bad i use original mask mudd.

i also found that changing pill/coming off the pill/ starting a new pill makes my skin break out somehting terrible.

I love The Body Shop face washes. I did go and get some prescription stuff because it works better and leaves my skin looking much better, but the Body Shop stuff did clear my skin up really well.

Dove is probably the best bar you can find. My mom has had doctors telling her for years to use Dove and Oil of Olay.

I use Dove Sensitive Skin and a Sensitive Moisturizer twice a day on my face and neck area. I was using Oil of Olay Sensitive Face Lotion.... but they quit making it. I tried the Meijer store brand and it's just fine.

However..... If this is as bad as it sounds... you should see a doctor. If that's not possible.... speak with a pharmacist. They have loads of information and can help you decide on over the counter help.

...... and stop picking! If you feel the urge to pick or pop.... stick your fingers up your nose or in your mouth!

Hope you get it under control.
Poopa recommends a Chlorox dip.

lol red and poopa!!

Dove makes me break out like no one's business. I can't even use their shampoo or anything. I drink about eight 12oz of bottle a day because that's all there is to drink at work besides coke.

My skin is funny. It's all good unless it gets fucked with - then it's not happy with moisture or with dry stuff. So normally I just use a light face wash (whatever we have in the house) and my face moisturizer with spf 15 and I'm all good.

Now I got hard scaly bumps all the fuck over.

I would say it's hormones because most of it is along my jawline, but I have it other places too.

and to me it came out of nowhere.

Thanks for the suggestions - I'm going to try cammie's, pinks and hotty's....i will let yall know!

You could see a doctor as well maybe...a couple of years ago I used to get pimples on the backs of my shoulders a lot (not horribly, just a few but it was still annoying enough), she gave me antibiotics for a couple of months which got rid of it entirely.

I would just make sure you have a regular face routine - cleanse, tone, moisturise. If you've changed anything like something you use lately, I would probably stop using it lol.
I wouldn't recommend soap though, normal soap tends to clog the pores because it's not made for facial skin.

I used to see a dermatologist for my eczema and some other skin issues. He would see me for ten minutes, charge me $80 and prescribe me medicine that cost hundreds of dollars.

And then they wouldn't help.

I am so done with doctors

Oh
Damn them all then!

You could always Google it, see if random break outs have happened to others?

Az- that's NASTY!!

I have done an aspirin mask before- you just dissolve non-coated tablets in a little bit of water and make a paste. Rub it on, let it dry, wipe it off. It's supposed to diminish redness. I thought it worked, but there are few things in my kitchen that I haven't put on my face.

I bought some pure aloe vera gel from the chemist today.

$2.50 and it feels fantastic used like a moisturiser.

NOT the fresh aloe from a plant...too strong
