Default ***Need Advice please on dropping a fruit & adding protein today***
I need advice on how to drop a fruit and increase my protein. I'm d20p2. My losses have slowed down, which I know is typical, but I want to see how my body reacts to less fruit (I am insulin resistant) and a little increase in protein.

How much do I increase my protein by? Do I increase for both meals, or just 1? Has this been shown to backfire in anyone?

Also, can I eat my protein say for lunch, and then eat the veggie for snack, or do they have to be eaten together. This is R3 for me, but I've never strayed from original protocol, so I'm nervous about this, but curious to see if my body will respond positively.

Thanks for your advice!!!

Ann

You replace one fruit with 100 calories of allowed protein. Good luck! I would try to go at least 4 hours between eating. That helps fix leptin issues.

If you're asking because you're hungry, your dose is off. What dose are you taking?

Thanks Grammy! I think my dose is ok (150 Hucog)...I'm not hungry really, but don't have a lot of energy, which is a problem with 2 little kids! I've always felt good with a lot of protein, so I was thinking that upping it would help?? Was also thinking/hoping that it'd help up my losses? thoughts?

So if I do it, I take a fruit out, and eat 100 calories worth of allowed protein at the time that I'd be eating my fruit, correct? Is this for everyday, or only a few days?
