are you talking about doing that during P2, or P3? it's probably too high for P2, an definitely way too low for P3. without the hcg i'd never eat less than 1000 calories a day.
She's working on her calorie cycling while on hhcg plan

Tia, I can't really help ya there with the P2/P3/P4 recommendations - you know me, I'm off protocol. But the calories sound pretty good to me Nice and tight.

I'm starting pellets tomorrow and the calorie cycling on Monday.

Edit: sorry, starting cycling on Sunday.

why wouldn't you use 500 for your low day? with calories that high i can't imagine you're going to lose very fast, especially if it's not your first round.

Since this is so totally rogue, and many people come to this "General HCG" forum for protocol answers, I THINK THIS SHOULD BE A SEPARATE FORUM, AND NOT A THREAD IN THIS SECTION.

There are enough "rogue" answers to questions, depending on the clinic advice and other views from people for whom going off protocol with different foods works without this completely calory switching off protocol scene.

You all are welcome to try anything you want with your body, but I just don't think it should be promoted on this particular forum. Just my opinion.
As far as I know there was only one rogue thread in the general section. People in the 162 pages of that thread were requesting a new thread dedicated to calorie cycling. Instead of trying to wade through 157 pages to find this information on calorie cycling and maintenance, now it has its own heading. Sorry you feel that way.

Here's me so far:

(R1P2)
CC1 L 159.5
CC2 L 156.5
CC3 H 154.5
CC4 L 154.5
CC5 L 153.5
CC6 M 152.0

Down 1.5 lbs today, and I'm looking for a simple medium day today because I don't feel like a high day. Then probably one or two more low days. I'm usually posting my menus in the rogue thread.

Because I want to exercise and I think I'd prefer a steadier, lower loss than a few weeks of great loss and then months of no loss.

With your medium and high days also being quite low, it balances out. Calorie cycling is really about the overall average - something I learned from the JUDDD diet which is a good introduction to this kind of thing. After giving birth I was doing an eat every other day type of diet. Basically, say you eat 800 calories one day, and even 2000 the next, your total for the 2 days is 2800, divided by two, gives you 1400/day which is good for a steady weight loss. Worked for me back then, with no diet aids, and it seems to be far more effective (and much easier to stick to) with the hcg. A year or two ago I was trying to do the JUDDD diet and I just couldn't cope with the low calorie days, or restraining myself on the high calorie days... so it didn't work for me that time. Hcg makes all the difference - after a while of retraining mind and body (and beating the obesity disease), it shouldn't be hard to stick to some sort of calorie cycling and moderate eating in the long run, it's just, I needed a major boost to get started successfully. TG for hhcg!

Perhaps Jarret could create a specific 'Rogue' board. This could be very confusing for newbies. Having a separate board seems a better option and the applicable threads can be moved there.

BTW, I've read about calorie shifting--calorie cycling is the same, correct? I will be interested to read about your results. Good luck!

Note to Newbies: "calorie cycling" is not the same as "cycling".

My first experience with the pellets yesterday....they were easy and tasted great, a little sweet. I could put the bottle in my purse and take it with me and be out all day and never miss a dose.

i'll be interested to see how you do, Tia. i'd love to do something that allowed me to lose more slowly, yet still steadily. but i had to stay very close to 500 calories or i didn't lose at all. may i ask how old you are, and what your current weight is?

2 lb. gain this morning. Pretty sure it's just water retention (rings are tight) because of tom and all the Thanksgiving food I've been eating. We're off to Willow Creek Farm (a Clyde's restaurant) for brunch for our anniversary and then a movie, Unstoppable. Maybe we'll get some hiking in too, but it's only a high of 45 and really windy.

Hey Tia,

Missed yesterday...

Here's me so far:

(R1P2)
CC1 L 159.5
CC2 L 156.5
CC3 H 154.5
CC4 L 154.5
CC5 L 153.5
CC6 H 152.0
CC7 L 153.5
CC8 L 152.0

I lost some ground because I didn't do a proper high day, I cheated, and went way higher. Did a correction day yesterday and didn't feel too bad, as yesterday I also noticed my tummy was a lot flatter than it has been in ages. I took my measurements this AM and am down 3 whole inches off my tummy, plus 1.5 inches off my bust and hips, and 2 inches off my waist. Well on my way to goal. But I don't recommend being a bad girl (or boy), and cheating and then correcting while calorie cycling - hopefully I won't be doing it again!

Hi lastin, looks like you're doing great! Did you do an entire week of low before cycling? How long do you plan on cycling?

I start a week of low tomorrow, I'll record my stats like you've been doing. I left my good bathroom scale at my mom's when I went to visit. So she bought that one from me and I ordered a new one. It's still in transit and hopefully will come on Monday. In the meantime, I have to guestimate with my old scale. ::rolls eyes::

Hey Tia, Thanks! I was planning to start with a week of low, but ended up cycling on my third day. I really plan on some version of cycling for a good 3 or 4 weeks, and see how far it takes me. If I need to go a little longer, I'll keep going.

That's great you're doing a good week of low to kick things off! I bet you'll have a great loss this week. That's funny your Mom bought your scale. Monday's pretty soon so, I guess that's not too bad

Look forward to seeing your stats! This week I've decided to try something a little different, because I did have such a good fast yesterday, and ate so well today, it turned out to be a high day of a beautiful 1300-1500 calories. I'm going to alternate day fast for a week - so my calorie average will remain around 750. No cheats, that's important to really make this cycle work for me, I think. Just a nice, moderate high day, and a fast the next day with about 50 calories worth of rice milk in tea.

I'll only weigh myself after my low days though, because I do expect a bit of weight fluctuation due to this technique. After a week of trying this, I'll see what kind of results it has.

So it's great you're starting your new round tomorrow. It's still almost a month till Christmas!

Looks like I gained 3 lbs. over the last 3 days, so kicking off this round at an even 220 (if I can believe my scale, needle won't quit moving). I'm a bit hungry this morning. I may have to play around with my dose, I've been following directions up to now, 4 pellets, 3x/day.

So is it today that I record this: CC1 L 220 or should I wait until I weigh tomorrow to record my first day?

I've been battling a headache the last few days. Hopefully it's just detoxing from all the Thanksgiving food I ate and not the pellets themselves.

Saw a 2 lb. loss this morning. Yesterday I was only hungry a little before meals and before bed. Went to bed early and didn't quite eat all my food.

Recording from left to right: what I weigh in the morning, calorie cycling day, how I plan to eat, (ultimately what calories I consumed) and any exercise (calories burned):

220 CC1 L (538), aerobics (111)
218 CC2 L

L 650, M 900, H 1250

Great job, Tia! Yeah hopefully it's just a detox headache. KUTGW!

I may take a few days to get my own plan in gear, sometimes when I'm trying something new, it's like I jinx myself by writing about it before I do it... and I don't want to keep changing my plan every day. I definitely don't think I can do a full 36 h. fast more than once a week while on hcg... I'm tweaking my high/low day plan for the week but it's getting complicated!

So I may just post with a couple day delay while I'm trying to figure this out (and not cheat!).

Hello everyone! I am hopping over from the Rogue Saloon to post my calorie cycling plan for the week... I have been doing it unofficially for about a week that counted a few Thanksgiving holiday binges.. I didn't gain, but now this week I have a plan My first day is today.. with a low day.. just water, coffee, tea, E-3 Live, and a tsp of coconut oil until dinner ( not hungry anyway, so might as well do a mini fast until dinner- since I was a little naughty last weekend) Then for dinner a green smoothie made with kale, spinach, cucumber, celery and one small apple, and a bowl of my bison-cabbage chili.

CC1 L 500
CC2 L 500
CC3 H 1,200 ( Bikram)
CC4 M 800
CC5 L 500
CC6 H 1,200
CC7 L 500

Good Luck to all

I've looked at this plan before--minus the idea here of adding hcg. I think it has real merit. It's a way to break a plateau or body weight set point, for sure. I've been on meal plans where after 21 days you have to change it up, eat more for a few days, to coax your body into losing more. I'll be watching this Thread. On the negative side, what I can forsee is binger's tweeking it because they still haven't solved the underlying food issue. It doesn't mean this isn't a sound idea though. You can't police people.
