Default Experience doing Multiple Rounds
I have just completed Round 2 and am planning on doing Round 3 to try to get to my final goal. I would love to hear from people who have done multiple rounds. Were you pleased with your results? Was it harder to stick to protocol after your first round? Did you attain the results you expected? Please let me know if it it worth doing a third or fourth round to achieve goal. I ask because this second round was harder for me than the first and wanted to hear from others. Thank you! Lorie

How did you do on your 2nd round? Any new challenges? Did u feel like the diet worked just as well the 2nd time around?

I finished my 1st round in September. I've put on 4 lbs from the Holidays but I am doing some high protein days to get rid of that. And then I will be starting a 2nd round in a few weeks after I get my supplies. Im hoping this 2nd round will be my final round.
Good luck to you!

I would also fire an e-mail to my Yoda and ask her how she feels about multiple rounds:
mgsondance@hotmail.com

Just make sure to put hCG in the subject line.

She's always been great about giving both sides of doing hCG.

If you're game, bringing them back to here and pasting them in should be interesting

Multiple rounds are fine as long as the protocol has worked for you and you've had no hunger. I did 5 rounds, got to goal and have stayed there pretty well. I've had to do a steak day on occasion but it works just as Pounds and Inches states. There are many here who have done multiple rounds. Those who have lost more than 100 pounds seem to have a little more problems, just because your body wants to add back some weight. But that happens no matter what method you use to lose the weight. I can't tell you how many people we've seen on the forum who had bariatric surgery and regained some too. It takes changing your lifestyle and commitment to keep the weight off. But the great thing is that we have HCG in our arsenal now.

The 2nd round is hard for a lot of people. It wasn't for me but I've seen the phenomenon here on the forum often enough to know that it exists. So don't expec the 3rd to be as hard. It usually isn't.

Thank you all for the input. I did okay my second round but it was a little tougher then my first. I will do the third round to try to get to final goal. I hope it isn't any harder then my second. I do well on P2 and never stray from protocol. I do very well maintaining until I begin adding in carbs so I will do round 3 right after my 3 weeks P4 without adding the carbs back in. I think I will do better that way. Wish me luck! Lorie

Since you struggle with carbs in general, I'd bet you've got some insulin resistance. Try making sure you go at least 4-5 hours between any calories when you hit maintenance and check out the leptin sub forum.

Colleen...this was like music to my ears! As you know, i've had quite a few problems during this 2nd round and i didn't lose even half of what i did on round 1. I must admit that although i was trying to remain optomistic, i was becoming a little discouraged. This comment help me a lot to know that this has happened to many of us. I'm hopeful the 3rd will be much smoother! ; )

I also think i need to look into the leptin reset. I have always been very sensitive to carbs. Very similar to what Lorie said, i am fine until i start adding starchy carbs (breads, pasta, rice, etc).

Please clearify... how long must we wait between rounds 2 and 3? Is it 8 or 10 weeks?

It's 8 weeks between rounds 2 & 3. I know, I know. We all hate that. LOL I think you'll be fine in the 3rd round!

Oh wow...you made my day! I thought it was ten weeks in between! Yay! How crazy i must sound...so anxious for another 40+ days of VLCD! You've been there...you understand! ; )

Third round, my husband will be doing rx injections right along with me. He is so thrilled with my results that he decided to go all the way and join me. He has lost approx 40lbs by just following the eating plan, although we did increase the calorie intake from 500 to approx 1800-2000.

Was looking at Dr. K's website last night. It's a lot of info but it sounds like the leptin reset may be exactly what i need.
