Hi everyone. I am going to begin Round#2 January 1st. I did a 21 day round and lost 21 lbs from nov23-dec15th. I had 2 stop for 2 major reason. 1, I was having significant hear palpatations and 2, I was having trouble breathing. I should say that I am a healthy 31 yr old female (well, healthy other than being overweight) so the heart palp's and trouble breathing were quite disturbing. My PCP said she could not be sure if the drops were causing the problem or not. I am sure everyone here will say that it "wasn't the hcg" BUT perhaps it could have been the other ingredients in my drops. My drops have L-Carnitine in them, as well as B-12 and HCG. The doc said the L-Carnitine could have been the cause. The other problem I was having was that I had my period almost the entire time on the diet, and I have an IUD and otherwise, never have a period on it. I was very concerned by the heart palps, trouble breathing and constant bleeding. My PCP of course, knew nothing about this diet and wanted me to stop. I really want to start again because it is the only thing that has ever worked for me....
My questions are: 1. Has anyone else had ANY of the problems listed above? If so, do they know which aspect caused them... 2. WHY would I have my period the entire time on the HCG? 3. Has anyone done the ChiroHCG program? That is what I am doing. 4. Is the L-Carnitine safe? I have already asked these questions in another forum WITHOUT A RESPONSE, so please help me!!! Thanks! |

I'm not familiar with that brand as I have only used RX hcg. Are you on any meds that could have been causing a reaction? Hcg tends to raise thyroid levels and I generally have to lower my thyroid meds while on hcg. Too high of a thyroid level can cause heart palpitations. Did you have any hunger or weakness on the round? That's an indication that the hcg wasn't working right and you were basically on a starvation diet--another cause of heart palpitations.
The protocol often messes with a woman's cycle. It goes away though and isn't a deterrent to doing the protocol. |
