Default End of Phase 2 slow weight loss?
Hi Everyone,
I have a question for you all. I am approaching the end of this round's phase 2. I have been very happy with my results and have lost more than I thought I would thus far. I am wondering if all of you have experienced a slower loss once you get to the end of your rounds? I would like to lose another 14-20 pounds in my next round before I try to maintain. I think I will be comfortable with my weight at that point. I am wondering if the HCG stops working as well near the end of the phase? It looks like the losses I am having these last few weeks would be the same as if i were on any other diet and not on a strict 500cal. Any insight would be great I'm excited to take a week off for Phase 3, but I'm planning to jump back in for the last round, after Thanksgiving and some birthday celebrations. At least with low carb, I know I'm not going to gain. I've been successful with Atkins in the past...hopefully my body adjusts to it as it has before.

Yes, it slows down at the end.

You should really consider taking the recommended breaks. A week isn't really long enough between rounds if you are looking for long term loss. Just a thought.

thank you for your reply! I know that the weeks between should be a bit longer, but I'm ready to get rid of the weight for good! I took only two weeks after my last round in early october and didnt have a problem. I usually maintain well with Atkins induction I dont eat a lot of carbs even when I'm not on the HCG protocol.

Actually, the weeks between subsequent rounds should lengthen.

I totally get wanting it off now. I'm more concerned about forever though. The breaks are to make forever possible and not as difficult for you. People bend the rules and lose more than recommended and don't take the breaks and lose like crazy. Sadly, they often come back having gained or unable to stabilize. That's sad! We all want to only do this ONCE, right?

Good luck and good health to you!

Great job on the weight loss thus far! I'm so impressed! 25lbs off in less than a month? Wowie!! If you don't mind I want to follow your progress for Round 2 as well. Especially if you only take a short break. I'm still learning how this all works and can definitely appreciating you wanting to get to your goal as quickly as possible.

I'm only 4 days into Round 1 so I have a long way to go still, but heck if I could loose 15lbs in a month I would be one happy girl!! You are doing fantastic!

HCG Mel,

Please feel free to follow my progress if you wish. I am not going to be doing a full traditional round until after the holidays, though. I have a big 3 day birthday celebration in early december, then a monday night football game I'm going to attend and plan to drink at on Dec 19. LOL just being honest. What I do plan to do is Atkins induction foods (phase 3) on the days where I am attending events, then the 500cal protocol in between. I know that cycling is not recommended, however, I have emailed back and forth with a person who had success when planning for the interruptions. I have lost about 30lbs at one point when I was doing the Atkins diet and it stayed off. I think that eventhough I am going to be doing phase 3, I'll still lose. I'm really strict with my induction and dont stray off of it with nuts etc. I wish you a lot of luck in your journey as well!

Thanks! I will have a take a break December 2-6 when I'm in Las Vegas but other than that I plan on sticking to the plan. In Vegas I'm sure I'll be drinking and likely eating more than 500 calories...but I'll do my best to keep the damage to a minimum and then get right back on track. We are very close in weight right now I just noticed. You are so close to your goal. How exciting!!

you know what the weird thing is? I still find myself looking for larger sized clothes. It amazes me that I am in a size 10 (loose) and a medium or small shirt. This goal was for me to reach by Mid december... but who knows if I'll be happy with my body once I hit 155. I think I'll probably try to get down to 140-145. Good luck on your journey and keep in touch! Just be sure to go off of the drops for 48hours or if you're doing the injections be sure to be off of them for 72 hours before eating regularly. otherwise you will gain a lot. The HCG needs to be out of your system...during those hours you'll still need to do the 500cal diet. I've just gathered up a bunch of information on this because I plan to stop my drops on Weds night so that I can have 7 full days off of the diet before heading back in for a couple of weeks. who knows, maybe by then i'll be close to my goal and wont need another round? thats wishful thinking! LOL

I hear ya on the clothing thing. I tend to always grab larger sizes and then have to go back and find the next size down. I'm doing drops and I'll make sure to stop 48hrs in advance. Plus I'll be with my boyfriend and don't want him to see me taking drops...I'm sure he would be like "what the hell is that?" lol All he needs to know is that I'm getting healthier and losing weight.

Good luck to you!! I'm currently working in a hotel for the next 2 weeks w/no scale so I'm flying blind. But will let you know when I do my first official weight in on my home scale.
