Default STALLING ....WHAT SHOULD i DO!
So I've been on the diet for 16 days in total and only lost 9 lbs.

I wanted to loose 30lbs by the end of the cycle, that will never happen.

I have been following the protocal and not even getting creative with my foods and I have been stuck at the same weight for 3 days ?

What should I do. Im only drinking a liter a day. Could that be it ?
Will I see a sudden loss after the stall! I getting decouraged between not loosing alot of weight and stalling.
I was thinking about taking metumucil sugar free maybe that will help?

You are definately low on the water which you need to fluch out the fat from your cells. It is NORMAL to stall. Average losses for women are .5 to .75 a day over the course of a round. Unfortunately, much of the hype out there is that you can lose a pound or more a day. What weight did you start at? Those with less abnormal fat will usually lose less and at a slower rate. You have done so well so far. Please don't get discouraged. when a stall is ready to break, most of us do get a larger number for a day or 2. Your body is burning fat right now and it is probably trying to hold on to water as well. Too little water will also constipate you which again affects the number on the scale but not your actual losses. Hang in there, you will lose. I had a 11 day stall last round and while they are discouraging the end results are so worth it! By the way, just keep doing what you are doing and avoid all the "gimmicks" such as the apple day. The weight will fall off when your body is ready to release it!

thanks for the quick response!
11 days stall wow, now thats discouraging...once it did fall off how much came off on the 12th day ?

I dont want to do any of the gimmicks, so i will stick to protocal and try to increase the water.

Can I do Crystal Light ? Water is so boring ! lol what about the metamucil ?

Many do not do well with Crystal Light. You can use your daily lemon and squeeze it into your water and add Stevia. I have started drinking many cups of hot tea, mostly herbal with some Sweet Leaf flavored Stevia drops. Many around here drink the Yerba Mate teas. You can also try the Smooth Tea (I've seen carried at all out local grocery stores) instead of Metamucil. Others prefer Calcium Citrate to get things moving. I also drink plenty of black coffee in the morning, which is the way I've always drank my coffee. Keep going.

Hang in there! Stalls are common. Yep--up your water. THe rule is half your weight in ounces. The weight will start to come off again. I drink Smooth Move tea and it works !! Keep going!!

I stalled 7 days and then it started moving again. I will say while I was stalling I was so depressed. HOWEVER I think I had my greatest inches lost while I was stalling. I haven't measured yet (I am trying not to obsess over every detail) but people were noticing more and more that I was shrinking.

Up the water a bit more. I do well with Crystal Light but not everyone does. Keep it up. IT WILL break. xoooxx

I stalled for about 3-4 days too, with little stalls in between other days. It's definitely frustrating but wait it out and keep drinking your water! I put tea bags in my water bottle to give it some flavor throughout the day and it makes it a lot easier to drink all of it. I drink at least 64 oz. a day if not more. I use green tea bags and peppermint is also good. Any fruity flavors would probably taste good too! Just experiment to find out what tastes good Good luck!!!!!

I like to think of my progress as a journey in a sailboat. I can steer the boat in the right direction but I am alway at the mercy of the wind (which is out of my control). As long as I am true to the protocol, I know that I will see progress on the scales as soon as my body is ready to release the fat and water which dictate the number. I can huff and puff in the sail but little will happen so I might as well as relax and wait for the wind to blow again! Happy sailing!

As a treat once and awhile add a juice from half a lemon and 1 crushed up strawberry to your water. Tastes great!

I'd up the water to two litres, in addition to whatever tea/coffee you may be drinking.
And don't worry about stalls....they are just a different type of weight loss. I am exactly the same weight I was 9 days ago, but yet during that time I've lost 3-1/2 inches! So just because you aren't losing on the scale, it doesn't mean you aren't losing.

You all give such great advice and words of encouragement! That is the best thing about trying this diet. When you get down, you hear nice words. When you have a great day, you get pats on the back! I love it!

This encouraged me greatly today. Thank you!

I am a new hcg diet rookie. I am following all the rules strictly but have stalled now for 4 days. This is very frustrating, but I am determined to stick with it. I did notice the Hcg diet calls for a meal, 100 grams of a protein, one fruit and a 3.5 oz. serving of vegetables. What I realized was this was not always adding up to 500 calories, so I realize now you have to select your protein, your fruit and fill up the rest of your calories with th evegetable of choice. That can mean a lot of vegetable if you don't select a high calorie protein and fruit!
