Default Mixing veggies?
Who has tried doing both doing one veggie and mixing? Have you noticed any difference in losses? Anyone have any idea the protocol says not to mix?

I have no idea why the protocol says not to mix. I didn't mix veggies at first, then I did. Discounting the first week's losses which are always better, I still lost either way.

It's not the sliced cucumber on the lettuce that come back and bite you on this diet.

I do mix lettuce and cucumbers or lettuce and tomatoes. I also put some chopped onion in just about everything I make. Other than that I have not mixed. I'm on day 13 and am down 13.6 pounds. I'm happy with that. I'm dying for some green beens or broccoli though.

Thanks for the responses!

I didn't mix my veggies first round and haven't yet my second round, but I think I want to start. Salads with lettuce, tomato, cukes and onions sound much more appetizing than just lettuce.

Anyone else?

I started mixing veggies my 2nd round and found no difference in my later rounds' losses. However, technically it IS off protocol but your body may do fine with it.

By the way, congrats on a great first round loss!!!

I have tomato and lettuce together. I have had cucumbers in place of a fruit with no trouble.

I've also had cucumbers in place of a fruit. Technically both tomatoes and cucumbers are actually fruits.
