Default Results of day 1 of VLCD: only lost 1 pound?
So I'm on day 2 of the VLCD and I just woke up to weigh myself. I only lost 1 pound! Now I only put on a pound from the loading days but don't people usually lose a lot from the first day? :/ it's so frustrating! But I think it may have something to do with what I'm eating. I haven't been following what is on the recommended food list (gasp! I know i know, ive gotten off to a bad start) Okay so yesterday I ate two apples, two ryvita crackers, boiled egg, half a tin of tuna, a bit of sweetcorn and one chicken fillet (not in that order obviously) Also I'm not overweight so is it possible that it's just not going to be as fast losing weight then? I know I probably sound kinda stupid for messing around with the food but if someone could just put me on the right track that'd be brilliant

Sweetcorn!?!? Some people probably don't eat sweetcorn even in Phase 4!! If you don't follow the protocol it won't work, trust me I try to go rogue all the time and I fail.

Just eat what's on the list, in the quantities specified. Sweetcorn is a big no-no - you shouldn't even eat that in P3, it's a starch. Tuna is not on the list, although many eat it without a problem. Are you measuring the protein to be 3.5 ounces uncooked? The ryvita crackers may or may not be the same amount of calories/starch as the melba toast, I don't have the NI to check. Since this is your first round, just do it the way it's written. And don't be disappointed in a 1 lb. loss, in just one day, when you didn't even follow protocol. It'll work if you work it!

Hmm... why are you trying to loose weight if you don't need to?..and yes, it typically goes slower the less you have to loose.

Stay on the original protocol your first round...but from the sounds of it, you won't be doing a second round because you are "not overweight"...

Is the 98 pounds all from HCg that you have lost?

Thanks Julie! The closer I get, the more challenging it is!...but in retrospect, I have to remind myself of how far I have come! When I get to that 120'bs released goal, I probably could stand to loose a few more- according to the BMI calculator that is....
