There's this "dream" I've had quite a few times in my life, and I had it again today. I woke up at 9, even though my alarm was set to 10 (yes, I'm quite the sleep in :P), so tried falling back asleep. After a while, and perhaps several other dreams I've forgotten, it took place.
It's hard to describe overall, but I jotted stuff down when I woke up so I don't completely forget. It feels like I'm awake, but when I lift my arms I can't see them. I think I can feel and touch stuff, for example, the wall beside the bed, and today I rubbed the ribbons attached to the wall. I remember I asked my mom who was laying beside me if she could see it moving (don't remember what her answer was). The room was with natural, morning, light, not too bright. All the times I can remember, there's someone beside me, I think usually in the beginning I assume it's my mom, but I think that changes. This time, the "thing" beside me, I could imagine/feel it reaching a hand or finger towards me, there was this noise, a hissing-ish one. It felt like I was about to have a nightmare (quite often I can feel a "nightmare" coming on), and I got scared (I think that usually happens). Today, I think I just begged it to stop, to please go away, and maybe I said that I'm not ready for it. That went away, although I was still in this "conscious sleep mode" for a while. I tried to wake up by jerking my limbs, takes a while because while I can imagine myself doing these motions, at first they don't actually move. When I do wake up, I have to keep moving and not fall asleep. There's also this thing I do with my brain, can't describe it exactly, but pretty much I "tense" the top of my head, and snap it to a side (usually when I do this a few times, I can "get out" and wake up from a nightmare I think I might have). I tried to describe what happened as well as possible, but that was pretty hard :P Does anyone have any idea what that was all "about"? |
