Default President speaks with Republican caucus
I just watched the President's meeting with the Republican Caucus, and I have to say (apologies to our Republican members) Republicans in congress acted like spoiled children who want what they want and are going to hold their breath until they get it.

Many who asked questions of the President were rude and confrontational... snotty little brats, actually. I simply don't understand the polls that are predicting Republicans picking up seats in both houses.

The president probably didn't provide the right ambiance for the meeting... Next time, he should try holding such discussions at an abortion clinic protest or a book-burning or the execution of a death row inmate... They might be far more agreeable. Ambiance is very important.

Off year elections historically produce that result, Kirkus. There is always a loss of seats in the off year. Remember Clinton in 1994? There was a 54 seat swing in the House that gave the GOP a majority for the first time in 40 years. And a 8 seat swing in the Senate.

And the economy was good in 1994. So imagine the reaction when things remain fairly dismal from an economic viewpoint, and are predicted to remain that way through most of 2010.

The meeting will replay in it's entirety at 8pm (I'm assuming Eastern time) on CSPAN.

I'm sorry, kirkus. But I'm so sick of politics that setting aside time to watch that would be like scheduling an appointment to catch gonorrhea.

Does this mean you're canceling with Sesil?

She had herself all airbrushed and everything...

Alternate Post: Probably not... From what I saw in the other thread, they're probably already saving funds to buy Bernard Tomic!
