Hmmm, I'd have to lean towards the BC idea, maybe a leaner ACD or Kelpie. Though I haven't seen many in action.

An Alaskan Husky maybe? or Eurohound, given there's no sighthound influence. All Dobies I've seen so far (including Sch videos and in person at CAT tests) have been midspeedish and not that fast. Which is interesting... Cliff, do you have a video of a Dobie you'd consider fast? Maybe the ones I saw were just weren't in that great of shape physically.

I'd bet some of the terriers could haul ass. I've seen some GSPs that seemed pretty fast and had the build for it, but never got to see them run all out.
