Default I have been reading all the stickies, my eyes are getting tired...
I just wanted to thank everyone for posting all this information about the APBT. Things I never knew, lies I have been told, and how to handle this breed. I am trying to learn as much as I can, being new to this. I have had all different dogs in my life, but never an APBT. I know my 10 week old Sadie seems very tenacious, but a very fast learner. I am so surprised at how quickly she is picking up on things. Even though she was sick with parvo, she has learned to go to the door to go outside and do her thing, has learned to sit and stay. I am having issues with come... she never comes when I want her to, no matter how many times I call her, but if I say sit, she will stop whatever she is doing and sit. Any recommendations or help getting her to come, would be greatly appreciated. Now my 15 week old lab/pit mix is a different story... he has more of the lab personality in him, bold, ploppy, gloppy, funny,(sort of like a bull in a china shop, just plows his way through everything) but follows most commands, including come. Thanks again for all the info. I still have a lot to learn.
