That's good that it's just his thyroid! He'll be fine once he gets on his medication. I have a thyroid issue myself! Thanks dad

So I've just spoken to my vet, Sunny's blood came back normal but his gravity level was still a concern and so forth.

Anyway.

I need to get more tests done. There is 4 possibilities left which is cushing's disease, liver disease, diabetes, hormonal issues or a mental issue of some type.

So.. I'm hoping it isn't cushings disease or liver disease. I sadly can't get these next lot of tests done till a week after Christmas so it's going to be a anxious wait.. But I'll update when I find out more.

Thank you all for the positive thoughts/prays.

I was really hoping they would say thyroid and put him on pills. That would have been simple and a lot less expense and stress for you.

Hang in there! Spoil the heck out of him, Serenity and yourself for Christmas and don't worry too much!

MJJean; that's what I was hoping.. I wish I had enough for the tests this week but I don't. I'm on a strictly no money spending agenda so I can get these tests done sooner. I have near enough but I'm going away for a week and a half so I need some money while I'm gone.. But the tests will get done soon enough.

SemasMum; Trust me, I am. Sunny is getting special treatment, lol. There both going to be spoiled on Christmas.

MJJean; that post didn't make sense.. I have enough money to go away with, enough to survive while I'm not working (since we have two weeks off and I don't get paid) and I have some put away for Sunny. When I get paid next week, I'll be away so when I get back, I'll have enough thank god.

I'm confusing myself. I hope that made sense.

And thank you for all the support, it means a lot. Now, I just hope it's a easy treatable thing that's wrong with him.

I think MJ was just hoping you already had it figured out and that it was a cheap, easy fix. The not knowing can drive you nuts.

O, I know that, lol. I'll stay strong and positive, or I will stress more. Sadly this won't be cheap.. So much for my lucky streak with having healthy dogs.

What kind of blood panel did they run that would give you kidney values but no liver values? Did you find out any of the values I asked about previously? Did you ask for those tests to be done?

I got it, lol. I have been saving up for Rita's allergy blood test and the first few months of shots ($500 total), but with Christmas, my husband getting like 2-3 days a week at work for a few weeks last month, then things picking up for a couple weeks only to have 2-3 days this week and next week, we are going ot have to postpone again. It sucks. I am dying to know what her allergens are and to begin shots to see if it helps.

My husband swears when the paperwork comes in it will say: Rita. Canine. 3 years old. Allergens: Everything.
