Casper hates GSDs. He is a pretty mellow dog for the most part, but he hates GSD so much that even an idiot can see it. We were at the vet's office and Casper was sitting beside me while I was arguing with the lady at the counter about something she had wrong on the file and these people came in with a GSD. Casper body language went from silly goofy boy who had 10 minutes earlier been playing with a basket of kittens, a Greyhound, and 2 small dogs, to CUJO. He scared the GSD so bad w/o evening standing up that the dog freaked, peed her self and flopped around on the floor. He didn't even care it was a female and God forbid it be a male GSD. He is ready to go to war. He was attacked by 3 GSDs when he was a pup and he never forgot it. He doesn't care if they are white, black, black/tan and it also extents to Malinois, Siberians, Malamutes, and anything else "wolfy" looking. Although GSD are more common. It is rare to see the other breeds in my area.
He loves most other dogs w/o issues except big males on his territory. Out in public he could care less as long as they don't step foot in his yard. |

Rosie isn't thrilled with Border Collies. I think it's because of their lower head carriage. She also doesn't like out of control dogs. In our agility group there is a Golden Ret. When he first started, the girl had very little control over him and Rosie did not like him at all. If he got close to her she'd growl & bark. Now that he's improved (a lot) she doesn't mind him at all (unless he sniffs her butt)
There are two Cattle Dogs that are out of control that she can't stand either, and also one GSD. There is another GSD that is very well behaved that she's totally fine with. She LOVES little dogs. She's great with my moms dog a Blue Heeler/Cocker Spaniel and is good with her new Blue Heeler puppy. She'll growl at the puppy, but only when it's well deserved. Nick ignore small dogs. But he is totally on edge around larger dogs. He HATES intact males, especially larger dogs. |

Powder doesn't like GSDs',.. I adopted him around 9mths old so I don't know what happened before that. But the first time I ever saw him show aggression towards any animal,.. it was a GSD. Almost 5 years later and that hasn't changed,.. I thought maybe it could be the coat color or pattern. Until

Peanut likes all breeds of dogs. But there are breeds that go bananas when they see HER. Rottweilers and Dobies go crazy when they see her. There was one of each plus a Border Collie in her obedience class and all 3 wanted a piece of her (and the Rottie and Dobie hated each other too).
That was one interesting class. Peanut got good at not reacting to the lunging dogs but still can't tell when a dog is DA. That's how she got bit by a Golden. On the butt no less. |

My Dogo doesn't like any dog that has the black/tan markings of a Rottweiler, like a Doberman or similar marked dogs. Also doesn't like anything that resembles a poodle. Because of getting attacked by a Rottweiler and a Labradoodle. |

I have a friend with two JRT'S that used to harass two of my EB's when they were pups and about the same size as the JRT'S. Now, the EB's can't stand the sight of a JRT and go into WAR mode upon sight of one. Have rescued my buds male from the mouth of my bulldog twice since he continues to bring them around. The EB's are way to slow to get a hold on a JRT but somehow manage to corner them and use their weight and size to their advantage. It doesn't go well for the JRT'S.
