I had a Sorrell's cross bitch once. She was Sorrell's exclusively on her bottom half, but her top half might as well have been scatterbred.
She was a gorgeous dog and took home 1st in her class as a pup at her first show. BUt she wasn't right in the head AT ALL. At about 16 weeks old she started showing signs of fear aggression of people outside of the household. By the time she was a year old, she could NOT go into public AT ALL, and had to be crated in another room if anyone outside of the immidiate household came by. She would just go apeshit when she saw a stranger. I ended up having her put down when I was forced to move from my 5 acres in the country, where she had a nice chain spot INSIDE of a fenced 1/2 acre with no neighbors nearby to a 2nd floor apartment in town. She was okay with us, and acted like a normal dog most of the time...unless there were starngers. She would have been absolutely miserable in a busy apartment complex, not to mention a HUGE liability. Anywho...I attribute this to the scatterbred side of her pedigree. |

You have some very nice dogs Cynthia. Im jealous. I wish i had more time and space for a few more. Its hard enough rotating 2 and spending enough time with both of them. OMG,Cynthia. Bailey... I agree... Bailey is friggin ADORABLE!! Love that baby face. Bailey, Johnnie, Nichole, and OJ are from Oscar bred to a 50/50 Sorrells/ Eli bitch |
