OMG! Prigge is such as ass. I live in the Elgin area and BSL has been a hot-bed issue in the past few months. Prigge was the only one really pushing for it. And you know what I "love"? He REFUSED to listen to examples and stats from places other than Elgin, saying that BSL in Elgin was an "Elgin issue" and he wouldn't be swayed from people outside the town. Now he's trolling the internet finding people all the way in AK to further his agenda

how is your puppy doing anyway, I was fallowing the thread when you first got him so assuming he made it through the night he is okay?

he is awesome.. getting his last set of shots on the 22nd.. hes made a full recovery and is my dream come true! his hair is starting to grow back.. hes so full of life and his personality is perfect. he's learning his basic commands (sit, down, stay).. he has the sit and down part, but having trouble on the stay.. (he cant sit still for more than 1/2 a second.. ) he walks very well on a leash.. and hes started sleeping in his crate! WOOT here are some pictures of him (ive already posted these but just incase you didnt see them)

Bandit did have a hernia, but it went back in.. so we are to monitor it because it may come back out.. and if it does then he will have surgery but for now.. its ok.

Definitely! I've had cat bites before and they're horrible, so full of bacteria and they cause infection in a snap. I wouldn't EVER intervene in a cat fight, that guy needs to have some hand on experience before opening his mouth.

I have an 6 inch scar on my fore arm that shows exactly what a cat attack looks like. For that reason I am far more scared of my siamese then I am my amstaff!

The 'cat lady' at work showed me this video. Then she told me that they had a cat growing up, a calico, that fended off a would-be burglar that had broken into their house. Maybe I need to think about keeping a cat around as protection for me and my pit mixes. LOL

He had an auto response email that would go out to people who emailed council members in Elgin about the proposed ban that basically told people it was none of their business because they did not live there.
Its my understanding that during the meetings he sat through the whole thing looking down at the table and wouldn't even look at people who were speaking. He's such a loser.

ok I JUST SAW this the guy is even more of an idiot...in the state of IL it is ILLEGAL to have breed discrimination in the STATE CONSTITUTION (do not know if that is stated anywhere on this thread) but yep

haha Branson - thank you .. those 2 belong together - both started life with such trauma.. (my daughter almost died on us as well) and to this day has severe asthma and is fixing to go back into surgery on her ears. By the time shes 8-9 yrs old, she will have hip surgery as well (they are going to have to go in and break her hips then re-align them..). and Bandit, well, I think the world knows his story.. they have become best friends and my daughter gets so mad that she cant take him to school with her.. its so cute..

Most towns are under home rule. Two towns next to mine have BSL, one has "pit bulls" declared as dangerous and are banned and the other town has restrictions on Rotts and pit bulls, they have to be muzzled, fenced in yard, blahblahblah. I think the main reason it didn't pass in Elgin was by threat of lawsuits.

Bottom line is this guy is a grade-A ass and I'm not surprised he's trolling the internet for "pit bull attacks" hundreds of miles away

I was involved with some folks in Elgin, IL where Mr. Prigge is from. He is certainly targeting these dogs. the council meetings were pretty ridiculous. He has publicly stated a warning about bringing the idea of a ban back if there is another attack.

this is a public figure. I put his email, along with the mayor in an ad in a regional newspaper.

I think it's worth putting your correspondence w/Mr. Prigge on facebook.

What was so bizarre, and disappointedly not unusual, is that at one of the jam packed council meetings during the public comment period invited guests from out of town were not allowed to speak in opposition to the breed discriminatory proposals. However, all of they're evidence they used to justify this nonsense was from...you guessed it...out of town and the usual sources (you all know the culprits that spout news articles, and fear as fact).

I say out him. You could get Tony Aileo (sp?) alerted. He has a local show Elgin 2030 (Elgin2030 - Welcome to Elgin2030 v2.0!). He is a very active civic minded resident of Elgin.
