Tracks from the first drives of NASA's Curiosity rover are visible in this image captured by the High-Resolution Imaging Science Experiment (HiRISE) camera on NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. The rover is seen where the tracks end. The image's colour has been enhanced to show the surface details better. The two marks seen near the site where the rover landed formed when reddish surface dust was blown away by the rover's descent stage, revealing darker basaltic sands underneath. Similarly, the tracks appear darker where the rover's wheels disturbed the top layer of dust.

Wondering why the Moon is so difficult... can't be much sunshine there ????

If by any stretch of the imagination you are supposing that the Moon landings were fake, I suggest that you do a bit of googling, because they do now have photographic evidence from one of the Lunar orbiters of Lunar landing modules and yes even tracks etc....

They'll only claim the new photos are faked too. They're not worth the effort of thinking about them.

Just better equipment flying around mars. The photos of the Apollo landing site were taken with "narrow angle cameras" while the HiRISE instrument that took the photos of Curiosity's landing site is a 0.5m scope.

How many times has the USA set down on the Moon ?

both manned and unmanned? or just unmanned? or just manned? set down including crashes or not?

What I was wondering was how many landers (maned or unmanned) litter the lunar landscape ??
